(Obviously don't stand too close to C'tagntho the Unspeakable unless you want your arms and legs torn out of their sockets and eaten in front of you while you lie on the ground with bloody stumps, writhing and screaming, until the tentacles come back to finish you off by entering every open orifice and creating fresh ones until all of the blood has been drained from your lifeless corpse.)
A Scrap Bin Re-Boot
It was a time of uncertainty. Trapped between the old and the new, the Creator had felt the need to revive an old creation that he had once considered a failure. He rooted through the tangled mess of the scrap abyss until he found a form that could be salvaged.
It was a crappy tree that was intended to be attached to a rock. This tree was short and stubby with many tangled roots and even more spindly branches. The Creator pondered, then decided that this twisted mass of fail had potential....
He began by reforming the short roots into squat tentacles, then he went to work on the branches. He felt the need for more tentacles, tentacles that split into smaller tentacles, and this is what became of the branches. However, the Creator also knew that this creature needed more than tentacles. It needed teeth. (And a few hands, because why the hell not?)
In the end, the Creator was very pleased. He had successfully transformed a mediocre piece of scrap into a bizarre creature with tentacles and teeth - into a Thing.
